This is a collection of photos I took on the second day of qualifying. The one of Roger McCluskey was the first photo I had published when it was in the 1967 Indy 500 program. Top speed was only 160+MPH and back then the fastest film was ASA 400. (It's now called ISO) It was kind of a sad day because driver Chuck Rodee was killed in a crash the day before. Graham Hill beat Jim Clark to the finish line. These were taken behind the fence just going into turn one.
